Main Idea


Main idea or main idea is an idea that becomes the core of a paragraph. Every paragraph should have a main idea.
Main idea is an important thing about a topic.
Main idea is also in the form of a sentence, usually placed in the first sentence.

But the main idea can also be put in the middle or at the end of a paragraph, depending on how it is arranged. What can be noticed is that the main idea contains the topics discussed.

The first thing you should look at to find the topic sentence of a paragraph is to look at the title of the paragraph you are currently reading. The title usually determines the subject or topic of the reading. The subject is a topic that is being discussed in the reading.

The characteristics of the main idea:
- The main idea sentence is the main thought or main idea in the paragraph

- Contains the essence of the problem or problem

- Stated explicitly in the main sentence or topic sentence

- The main idea is stated in one sentence which is called the main sentence

1. Command     Command is a command sentence used to order someone to do an action. The command sentence is divided into two, namely: a. If the positive is "order" b. If negaitive is "prohibited" a.
